Behavioral Discipline and Its Relationship with Achievement Motivation among Secondary School Students in the Governorates of Gaza

The study aimed to identify the relationship between behavioral discipline and achievement motivation and reveal the differences in the levels of behavioral discipline and achievement motivation according to the gender, branch, economic level of the family, and academic class level. The study sample consisted of (375) male and female secondary school students in Gaza Governorates. The data were collected by using the behavioral discipline scale and the achievement motivation scale. The results indicated that there was a statistically significant positive correlation between behavioral discipline and achievement motivation. The findings also revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the level of behavioral discipline due to the gender in favor of females. and due to the branch in favor of the scientific branch. They also demonstrated the absence of statistically significant differences in the level of behavioral discipline due to the economic level of the family, and no differences in the level of behavioral discipline attributed to the academic grade. The study results also indicated the presence of statistically significant differences in the level of achievement motivation Attributable to the gender in favor of females, and the absence of statistically significant differences in the level of achievement motivation among the study sample due to the branch, economic level, and academic class level.
