Excessive Use of Electronic Games by Adolescents and Its Relationship to Social Isolation from Parents' Perspective

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the requirements for the use of dialectical behavioral therapy in the professional practice of social work in mental health hospitals. The basic study sample consisted of (120) social workers in psychiatric clinics "Erada Complex for Mental Health in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam  and Mental Health Hospital in Taif." The study used a questionnaire form for social workers, and the results of the study showed high level of cognitive, skill and value requirements. Also, the level of difficulties facing the use of dialectical behavioral therapy in the professional practice of social work in mental health hospitals was high. The findings indicated a high level of proposals necessary to activate the use of dialectical behavioral therapy in the professional practice of social work in mental health hospitals. The study recommended that specialized training courses for social workers in dialectical behavioral therapy should be conducted by specialists in dialectical behavioral therapy to improve the level of knowledge, skills, and values for them, so that they would help patients treated with this type of treatment.
