Abstract

This study aimed to identify the reality of family guidance policies and their contribution to supporting the family protection system from the perspective of employees in the field of family guidance under non-profit and national sectors, utilizing a social survey method. The study sample consisted of (80) male and female family advisors. The study concluded that there is a positive role regarding policies of guidance, indicating that there were institutional frames for centers of family guidance and their programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a great influence on effective and institutional organizing and introduction of family guidance services. Additionally, advisors in the field of family guidance have a high level of knowledge about those policies. Furthermore, the study concluded that the contribution of those policies was significant, with the most notable contributions of family guidance policies in supporting the family protection system shown through continuous development in family guidance policies, their laws and regulations, and follow-up on their implementation under local laws and international conventions. It also highlighted its role in supporting various family protection programs adopted by the ministry. The results further indicated that there were no significant statistical differences regarding the study axes except for the variables of age and marital status.
