Social Skills of Children Sent to Child Custody Charities and of Normal Children in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

The present study aimed to explore the differences between children placed residential institutions and ordinary children in social skills, and focusing on my assertiveness skills and follow the rules and instructions. And included a sample study (60) boys and girls, aged 9 to 12 years of them (30) children from depositors institutions shelter, and (30) boys and girls of normal children, and after verification of equivalence between the two groups in chronological age and economic level social cultural and application scale social skills prepared by the researcher and using the test "T" to denote differences between the averages is associated with study results showed a statistically significant differences between the mean scores of children placed institutions residential and ordinary children in social skills (self-affirmation and follow the rules and instructions and the total score) for the benefit of ordinary children.
