A Suggested Proposal for Professional Practice with Individuals on Crises Management Facing Female University Students

This study aims to describe the therapeutic models used by the social worker with individuals, for crisis management that faces female university students, the barriers that face the social worker, the mechanisms used by the social worker. The purpose of the study is also to increase the social worker competency in practicing therapeutic models, and to conceptualize a proposal of the role of the social worker in using these models. This study is analytical and descriptive, it utilizes a questionnaire which has been applied to social workers in colleges of Princess Nora Bint Abdulrahman University. The participants are (70) social workers and (16) teaching staff in the Department of Service of Individuals.
The study arrived at several findings, the most important of which are as follows: There is a significant correlation between the score of each phrase (questionnaire, interview guide) with the total score of the topic that belongs to the phrase at the level of (0,01). The findings also show that the therapeutic models used by social workers for crisis management facing university students are represented in cognitive therapy, followed by crisis intervention model. Whereas the model of concentrating on the mission comes in the third rank. The findings show a number of barriers deterring social workers from practicing therapeutic models. A range of mechanisms have been identified for increasing the efficiency of social workers. The study suggests a proposal for professional practicing with individuals in crisis management that faces female university students, and offers a set of recommendations for the implementation of the proposal.
