The Dependence of Yemeni Resident on Mass Media and their Impact on his Relationship with the Saudi society

Abstract

       The study aims to show the  means of information relied upon by the Yemeni residents in Saudi Arabia about the Yemeni crisis and to identify the relationship between the Yemeni residents and their Saudi employers after the crisis.

The study followed is  a descriptive one, utilizing the sample- survey method of its both sections: The descriptive and analysis to verify the questions of the study..

The study tackles the dependence on mass media, the historical relationship between the Yemeni and Saudi people during the crisis..

The most important outcome of the analysis of this field of study is that half of the respondents approximately believe that the personal relationships between Yemenis and Saudis hasn’t been affected. Besides, the discussions of Saudis and Yemenis about the crisis occur by 89% , and this is due to the “Tribal and family rapprochement between the two nations, “Religious rapprochement “ and the “ Good treatments Yemenis receive “

The results indicate , firstly that the Yemeni residents rely and trust Saudi social networks as a source of information, concerning the Yemeni Crisis, and , secondly on the websites of Saudi press, followed by the Yemeni social networks of the legitimate government, the Yemeni TV channel ” Al- Shariyah” on the top; whereas, “Al-Arabia” came as  the first Local and  International channel Yemeni residents depend on obtaining their news information and followed by RT and France channels.
