Requirements to Enable Saudi Academic Women to Assume Leadership Positions (Al-Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University as a Model)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the approved requirements to enable Saudi academic women to assume leadership positions. The study was applied on all academic women in leadership positions at Al-Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University. A Total of (79) female leaders participated in this study. A questionnaire was developed in order to answer the study questions. A number of findings were reached, the most important of which are the following:

  1. The organizational requirements: setting criteria for selecting female leadership capable of assuming responsibility.
  2. The administrative requirements: strengthening their capability in leadership positions to solve administrative problems.
  3. The personal requirements: strengthening their capability to meet the requirements of leadership positions.
