This study explores and analyzes the activities of the Zionist entity on the Red Sea South Islands from 1948-1978. Its importance stems from the importance of the Red Sea which is the most important international sea routes linking the East and the West; its south entry represents a real epicenter of the importance of that sea and its international role, which let the Zionist regime to extend its influence as a niche in its south islands early.
The study period extends from 1367 to 1398 A.H/1948-1978. It is considered one of the main historical phases in the Arab-Zionist regime conflict that stretches from the foundation of the Zionist entity in 1367 A.H/1948 until signing up the agreement of (Camp David) in 1398 A.H/ 1978 and then the Arab peace treaty, where the Zionist regime began with the support of Western countries to implement its strategy in the region, especially in the Red Sea. In addition, many wars erupted during this phase between the Arabs and the Zionist entity. Many goals and activities of Israel were noticeable, including their influence on the southern islands of the Red Sea.
This study has shown the importance of these islands to the supreme interests of the Zionist regime and how keen they are in exploiting them to confront the political and economic Arab siege and to achieve the political balance and to keep the Arabs in the reactive position.
This study identified the motives of the Zionist entity about the southern islands of the Red Sea intellectually, politically, economically, security, and strategically. In addition it examined the tools of the Zionist entity in implementing its activities on the southern islands of the Red Sea as well as the areas of these tools and mechanisms for implementation and the extent of their flexibility and effectiveness with conditions and developments of the Arab-Zionist conflict. Additionally, it tests the impact of these activities in achieving the objectives of the Zionist regime and its impact on the Arab security as well.
