Abstract

The study aimed at forming a structure for the content in the poetry of Abdullah Bin Khamis (1432 AH) through his diwan (Ali Ruba Al-Yamama), and perhaps finding holistic structures that include all the contents dealt with by the poet, may constitute a shortcoming in the search for the basis of those contents in terms of their relationship to each other within the diwan.

With his poetic skill, the poet was able to present moving poetic images that predict each content, which is an indication of a central structure that is completely different from other poetic structures. From here, the research problem focused on addressing the poetic structures in the speech of Abdullah Bin Khamis (1432 AH), and the contents that contributed to the formation of the final image of each structure, reflecting the artistic characteristics of the poet. The research relied on analyzing the poetic structure in the poet's discourse through three main axes:

1- Searching for poetry and the Arabic language and their golden ages.

 2- Religious personality.

3- The loss of the Arab nation.

Hence, the research revealed that limiting the structure of the poetic content to the speech of Abdullah Bin Khamis (1432 AH) is not an easy matter, and that the multiplicity of topics raised by the poet through his diwan and their connection to issues of political, social, and cultural reality reflected his poetic personality, as he was able to frame the content of poetry and language. By portraying the facts of his life, as the content of the religious personality appeared to us in several separate texts over the course of the diwan, in addition to the emergence of a poetic content that occupied him throughout the diwan, which is the loss of the Arab nation through an interconnected critical structure, to accommodate the prevailing cultural scene at that time.
