Abstract

Objectives: Emphasize the care of the tolerance and coexistence values in society according to Islam’s concern.

Methodology: Inductive and deductive methods to track, review and analyze scientific material, and adjust their addressing and organizing mechanisms.

Conclusion: The eras of history are still faced with peace breaches, feeding the beginnings of the conflict, and calls to reject and criticize them. This includes UNESCO’s Declaration of Principles on Tolerance in 1995 AD, and the recent inclusion of the peaceful coexistence term in the dictionaries of international relations in the middle of the 20th century.

Through reflection on the words of the Quran and Sunna, it is clear the high availability of assurance of care and attention to the integrity of human affairs to enable them to understand and live in harmony with each other, away from the root causes of disharmony and conflict for more than 1400 years.

The Quran and Sunna contains many characteristics promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence which are deeply rooted in people's beliefs and behaviors. It has excellent methods in building and strengthening relations between Muslims, as well as it provided kindness, generosity, and grace to people with other faiths who lived and dealt with them and lived near or away from their dwellings.

Recommendation: Conducting studies related to practicing this aspect and its applications in different Islamic times and current time, teaching them in the earliest education, and supporting technical and montage specialists to present application and views for different ages and cultures that foster these values and highlight the higher advantages of Islam.
