Deviation in the Dogmatic Term and its Impact on Strengthening the Islamic Beliefs
Abstract
This research investigates one of the most important issues that led to the disagreement between Muslims in the faith matters. The issue includes the reluctance of some parties of Islamists from the statement of the messenger Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his companions of the dogmatic rulings that relate to the Divine Entity and Attributes. Moreover, it includes their dependence on evidences which they assume that they are correct in terms of words meanings or logical meanings without having a reference to the statement of Allah and his messenger, peace be upon him, to which we are asked to refer and not to exceed them regarding this issue, especially if its intended meaning is known and clear in the speech of Legislator (Allah).
Belief in Allah (iman) and follow his messenger, peace be upon him, requires a firm faith and belief in the correctness of those meanings signified by those words in a manner that befits Allah the Almighty.
The most important reason of this reluctance might be what occurred in the Islamic thought in terms of terminology and words; due to the translation from the non-Muslim religions and cultures that do not conform with the Quranic discourse neither in punishment nor subject. According to that, this research is written and entitled as (Deviation in the Dogmatic Term and its Impact on Confirming the Islamic Beliefs).
