Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of using GeoGebra software on developing visual thinking and the attitude towards the software among basic-stage students in Jordan. The sample of the study consisted of (60) fourth-grade students enrolled in private schools in Amman Governorate for the academic year 2022/2023.

The experimental approach was used with a semi-experimental design based on two groups, one of which was the experimental group (GeoGebra software was used), and the other was the control group (the software was not used). In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a measure of visual thinking was prepared, and a questionnaire was prepared to measure the attitude towards the software used, and their validity and reliability were verified.

The results of the study showed the superiority of the experimental group that used GeoGebra software over the control group in both visual thinking and attitude towards the software used. In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommends the inclusion of GeoGebra software in the mathematics curriculum.
