Abstract

 

The objective of this research is to explore the effect of the use of teaching through electronic mind maps strategy in the development of chemical concepts in the unit on materials “properties and changes” and the attitudes towards learning based on electronic mind maps strategy among 1st grade secondary schoolThe population of the study consists of 1st grade Riyadh Secondary School in Zulfi governorate (courses track" 1437-1438 AH. They were divided into two groups: control and experimental.  An electronic mind map was designed for the unit on materials “properties and changes”. Findings of the study showed the importance of electronic mind maps in the development of chemical concepts and nurturing positive attitudes towards learning based on electronic mind maps among the population of the study.  Findings also indicated that there is a statistically significant positive correlation between the development of chemical concepts in the selected unit and the attitudes towards learning based on the electronic mind maps among the population of the study.
