Abstract

The study aimed to measure the effectiveness of using PQ4R strategy in developing verbal Mathematical problem solving skills. The study sample consisted of (54) students from second intermediate student at Al-Numan Ibn Bashir intermediate school at EL-Bekiria Governorate. They were divided into two equal groups: experimental (27) and control (27). The study implemented the experimental Approach, which consists of verbal Mathematical problem solving skills test. It measures the four sub-skills: understanding, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The study finding indicated that there were no statistically significant differences at (0.05) level between the mean rank scores of the groups in the post measure of the verbal Mathematical problem solving skill test .
