Abstract

This paper aims to develop training programs offered by Majmaah University to develop the skills of its faculty members to keep them updated with the latest developments in academic, technical and administrative fields. It provides an analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of such programs, and the consistency and/or variation between their objectives and faculty needs and expectations and the University strategic orientations. It also aims to develop appropriate solutions and suggestions to raise their efficiency in order to achieve the educational and skills goals of faculty and the strategic orientations of the University. The researcher selected a sample of (196) male and female faculty who attended training programs during the academic year 1438/1439H and administered a questionnaire approved by experts. The study recommended, among other things, establishing a specialized training center for faculty professional development using international standards; providing female trainers to achieve equal opportunities for both sexes; and using online training methods.
