The Effect of Using Learning by Playing Strategy in Developing the Skill of Concrete Understanding in Mathematics Among Students with Learning Disabilities

Abstract

This study aimed at measuring the effect of using learning by playing strategy in developing the skill of concrete understanding in mathematics among students with learning disabilities.The study sample consisted of (32) students with learning disabilities. lower elementary classes grades ,1,2,3. who were divided into (16) students Experimental group. (16) students Control group. The researcher used the quasi-experimental method, and to achieve the study goals and to collect data, a twenty items test tool designed to understand the concrete understanding skills that include (addition, subtraction, division, a descending, ascending, writing numbers from (1-20) The study results revealed the existence of statistically significant differences in favor of the experimental group in developing the skill of concrete understanding in mathematics by teaching them using learning by playing strategy compared to the control group who educated ordinarily.
