Abstract

This study aimed to identify the level of institutional happiness with its following dimensions: credibility, respect, justice, pride and peer relations in the General Administration of Education in Riyadh, from the viewpoint of male and female educational supervisors. It also aimed to present proposals that contribute to raising the level of institutional happiness in the General Administration of Education in Riyadh.

 The researcher used the descriptive approach and applied the questionnaire as a tool to collect data. The study population consisted of all male and female educational supervisors (n= 2038) in the General Administration of Education in Riyadh; the study sample consisted of a simple random sample of male and female educational supervisors (n= 352).

 The study reached a number of results, most notably that the level of institutional happiness in the General Administration of Education in Riyadh came to a medium degree, the order of the dimensions of institutional happiness came in a descending order according to the arithmetic mean for each dimension as follows: The dimension of peer relations, followed by the pride dimension, then the justice dimension, followed by the respect dimension, and finally, the credibility dimension, and the study sample agreed with a very high degree on the proposals that contribute to raising levels of institutional happiness. Based on the study results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals that are hoped to lead to building and enhancing rates of institutional happiness. The most significant of them were applying the principles of transparency and making sure that the employees are well informed about all their rights, duties and assignments. Working on providing all supplies, means and resources that the employee may need to complete their tasks. Along with achieving the principles of justice and fairness when providing the opportunities of training and improvement for all employees.
