Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of teaching using cloud computing applications on the academic achievement of students of the College of Sciences and Humanities at Shaqra University in the "Introduction to Psychology" course. The study sample consisted of two divisions that were selected randomly, one of which was the experimental group that was (20) students, while the second group formed the control group who was also (20) students. An achievement test consisting of (20) questions was prepared. The course was taught to the experimental group using cloud computing applications, while it was taught to the control group in the traditional way, and a pre and post-test was applied to the study sample to measure the level of achievement of the members of the two groups. By analyzing the data, the results showed that the experimental group that was taught using cloud computing applications outperformed the control group that was taught by the traditional method in academic achievement.

Based on this finding, the researcher recommended the necessity of activating the role of cloud computing applications and self-learning (e-learning environments) in the undergraduate education stage. Holding training courses for faculty members on how to employ cloud computing applications in teaching and learning processes to raise their level of performance and develop their skills. Encouraging students to deal with different e-learning environments, including applications based on cloud computing technology.
