Firm education in prophet time and its applications in the family

Abstract

The study aimed at identifying the concept of firm education, and it included the models of firm education of our souls and our children from the era of Prophet Mohammad through the hadiths of the two Sahihs, then it dealt with the applications of these models in the family.

The researcher used the historical and deductive approach to analyze these models and draw lessons from them and apply them in the family.

The researcher addressed nine models of firm education, including five in the field of firm education with our souls, and the other four in the field firm of education with our children, and then he mentioned the applications of these models in the family. The main results of the study are the following:

  1. 1. The concept of firm education: is the seriousness in matters, strength in implementation, determination to apply, not to slacken and Indulge with: the soul in obligating it to the legal limits (Commands and prohibitions), and with children in the use of clear declared procedures for education, and persist in it, and implement it.
  2. 2. Getting upset, screaming, shouting, and being violent, are not included within the meaning of firmness.
  3. 3. To be Firm with children - in its correct meaning - is considered a useful educational method in the era of technical openness.
  4. 4. Examples of the Prophet’s keenness with himself include the following:

-      His keenness to hold group prayers in the mosque despite his severe illness.

-      Pack him with himself in the door of piety and keep away from those suspected of food and drink.

  1. 5. Examples of the Prophet’s keenness with his children include the following:

-      Assertiveness with children in prohibiting them from eating the forbidden.

-      Assertiveness with children in urging them to pray, especially the night prayers.
