Evaluating the Organizational Environment at the Arab East College of Graduate Studies in Riyadh as Viewed by Its Students

Abstract

The study aimed to explore the realities of the organizational environment at the Arab East College of Graduate Studies in Riyadh as viewed by its students. The study evaluated the following four dimensions: the curricula, faculty members, support services, assessment methods. The researcher used the descriptive survey method, and developed a questionnaire for collecting the data of the study. The questionnaire was completed by 334 students who were randomly selected from seven departments of the Arab East College of Graduate Studies in Riyadh. The results showed that the dimensions of faculty members, curricula, and assessment methods, respectively, had high evaluation scores, whereas the support services one had an average evaluation score. Besides, no statistically significant differences were found in the students’ views due to the gender, but statistically significant differences were attributed were attributed to the students’ age (in favour of those older than 30) and major (in favour of the educational administration and supervision, educational technology and aids, and business administration). The study has provided some relevant recommendations.
