Abstract

This study provided answers to the following questions:

  1. What are the strengths and weaknesses in the educational systems of the middle part of the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant in the tenth Hijri century?
  2. What are the dimensions of the relationship between the educational systems of the middle part of the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant in the tenth Hijri century?
  3. How can the lessons gained from this era benefit the current educational system?

The study explained the strengths and weaknesses in many dimensions of the educational systems of the middle part of the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant in the tenth Hijri century, including the scholars, students, curricula, schools, and funding. The study also highlighted the attention paid by the Levant scholars to their Najdi students, and the Najdi students’ interest in seeking knowledge and traveling to the Levant for the sake of it. Finally, the study referred to the lessons gain from this educational relationship.
