At which degree the Social and National studies and Art Education' teachers originate the values of citizenship and community peace among Intermediate school students

This research aimed to investigate the degree of embedding values of citizenship and societal peace by teachers of social and national studies and art education through teaching for middle school students, from their point of view. The study sample included (110) male and female middle school teachers of social studies and art education in the Assir education district. The researcher used a questionnaire as the research instrument and also used the descriptive analytical methodology. The research reached several results; the most important of them was: “The degree of embedding values of citizenship and societal peace by teachers of social and national studies and art education through teaching for middle school students” were average on the total degree. “The embedding values of social responsibility” came in the first rank. “The embedding values of freedom of expression of opinion” came in the second. “The embedding values of social participation”, came in the third rank. "The embedding values of societal peace" came in the fourth rank. There were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) among the point of view of the sample subjects about the questionnaire axes and its total scores, as regards to the variables of (gender - years of experience - number of training courses). Based on the results, the researcher presented several recommendations.
The most important of them were the necessity of emphasis on the inclusion of values of citizenship in the curricula of art education and social studies for all basic education stages and the necessity to enrich university courses during the preparation of female teachers of art education and social studies.
