Obstacles to changes the Roles of Academic and Administrative Leaders at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University in light of the COVID-19

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the obstacles to the transformation of the roles of academic and administrative leaders in Saudi universities in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University as a case study. It relied on the descriptive survey method, and the questionnaire was used as a tool to obtain data, the study sample amounted to (164). And the study found that the average of obstacles came as a “medium”, reaching (3.33), obstacles degree ranked as follows: financial obstacles, obstacles related to competencies, obstacles related to training, administrative, human, and finally organizational obstacles. It was found that there are statistically significant differences for human obstacles due to the  job variable   and in favor of the category of administrative jobs. And gender in favor of the male category of human obstacles related to training, and experience in favor of less than 5 years for administrative obstacles.
