The Extent of Applying Speech Therapists the Therapeutic Plan for Students with Communication Disorders in Jeddah

Abstract

The current study aimed to discover the extent to which of speech therapists applied the treatment plan, and to study the differences according to the variables: gender, years of experience, educational qualification, and type of program.

The descriptive approach was adopted, and accordingly a questionnaire consisting of (30) items were designed and applied to a number of participants amounting to (65) male and female speech therapists in the city of Jeddah. Statistical significance in the average ranks of teachers of speech therapists according to the variables of years of experience, gender, and type of program in the extent to which they apply the treatment plan with students with communication disorders to educational qualification variable for a bachelor’s qualification. The study recommended the provision of specialized training programs aimed at raising the efficiency of teachers towards preparing and applying treatment plans for students with communication disorders.
