The mediating role of a sense of professional cohesion in the relationship between professional passion and organizational citizenship behavior among teachers of visually impaired students

Abstract

The current study aimed to determine the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and professional passion, and professional cohesion among teachers of students with visual disabilities and to determine the level of each of them, and to determine the mediating role of professional cohesion and experience in the relationship of professional cohesion with organizational citizenship behavior. The sample 94 teachers of visual impairment programs (Mage=36.798 ± 8.839), used self-report scales to measure professional passion, professional cohesion, and organizational citizenship behavior, prepared by the researcher, all of which have good psychometric properties. The study showed a positive, statistically significant relationship between professional passion (harmony, immersion, enjoyment), professional cohesion (perception, management, and purpose) and organizational citizenship behavior (initiative, altruism, sportsmanship), and it found a high level of teachers in each From: professional cohesion, professional passion, and organizational citizenship behavior, and it has concluded that professional passion and professional cohesion contribute to predicting organizational citizenship behavior, and there is a direct and indirect effect of professional passion in terms of chronological age and experience on organizational citizenship behavior.
