Improving the Performance of Sharia Sciences' Teachers in Light of the Requirements of the Digital TechnologyEra And their Attitudes Towards it

Abstract

The current research aims at setting a suggested program to improve the performance of Sharia sciences teachers in light of the requirements of the digital technology eraand improving their attitudes towards it. The researcher uses the descriptive approach to identify the list of the necessary skills for- Sharia sciences teachers in light of the requirements of the digital technology era. The researcher also uses the quasi-experimentalapproach to test a suggested program for one of these skills. In addition, the researcher uses the single-group design. Furthermore, the researcher  has prepared educational materials and research tools, including: a questionnaire for Sharia sciences teachers to determine their mastery level of the necessary skills, a training program to develop one skill of using technology, which is using learning management systems, an observation sheet to monitor teacher’s performance regarding the skills of using digital technologies, and measurement of Sharia sciences teachers’ attitudes towards the use of digital technology. The research sample consists of 22 Sharia sciences teachers.

The results reveal the positive impact of the suggested program on teachers' mastery of digital technology skills and improvement of their attitudes towards their use.
