The Extent to which the University of Tabuk Applies Learning Organization Standards: Faculty Members' Perspective

Abstract

The study aimed to identify to what extent the University of Tabuk has the standards of the learning organization from the perspective of its faculty members. The sample consisted of 108 faculty staff members at the University of Tabuk. A questionnaire composed of 53 paragraphs was developed. Appropriate statistical methods to analyze the information were also used. The study results showed that the extent to what the University of Tabuk has the standards of the learning organization from the perspective of its faculty members was average. The results also revealed that the field of mental models was ranked first with a high role, and the fields of study )the personal mastery of faculty members, the shared vision, systems thinking and team learning) got an average role. The results also revealed that a presence between the arithmetic average for the role of University of Tabuk as a learning organization from the perspective of its faculty members )team learning( is attributed to study variable (specialization) for 0.05= α statistically a different at the significance level for the literary fields specialists as compared to their peers in the scientific field.  The (personal mastery) is attributable to the study variable (the type); in favor of the males as compared to the females. The (personal mastery) is attributable to the study variable (nature of work); in favor of those who work in the administration and teaching fields, as compared to their peers who work in the teaching field only.
