Abstract

The current study aims at identifying the impact of a training program based on meditative practices on improving the teaching practice of a teacher-student in the department of the Arabic Language, Faculty of Education, University of Al-Majmaah. To achieve this objective, the quasi-experimental method of one group was adopted. The study sampling consisted of (25) female student teachers in the Department of the Arabic Language. An observation card and meditation card in the teaching situations used two instruments for data gathering. Results showed a remarkable improvement at the level of the teaching performance for the study sample, in addition to the differences of statistical significance between the pre and post-assessments in the observation card in the total fields in favor of the post-applicationAlso, there is a significant improvement in the level of teaching performance in the reflection card in meditation card in the teaching. The study recommends benefiting from the prepared training program and spreading awareness and the culture of meditative practices with its instruments, in addition to training students on them in the preparation program. This is achieved by assignments and applications that suit the students' interests and experiences as well as including the Performance Assessment Form with the meditative practices as an index of distinguished performance and added points of strength.
