Abstract

The present research paper aims to define the skills of utilizing artificial intelligence application in improving the learning outcomes among high school students in the light of international experience by highlighting the role, identifying the reality, defining the requirements, determining the obstacles to these skills and employs the prominent international experience and theoretical frameworks in the field.

It adopted the descriptive documentary approach to elucidate the relevant theoretical frameworks and international experience. It adopted the descriptive survey approach to illustrate the role, identify the reality, and define the requirements. It determines the obstacles to artificial intelligence application skills in improving the students' learning outcomes from the perspective of the experts and identifies the reality from the perspective of high school principals in Saudi Arabia.

The study covered a population of artificial intelligence experts and computer science and information specialists, education experts interested in artificial intelligence, specialists of educational technology interested in artificial intelligence, and high school principals in Saudi Arabia. It was applied to an intentionally selected sample of (30) experts and an area-based proportionate stratified sample of (414) high school principals.

The results showed the very high role of artificial intelligence application skills in improving the learning outcomes among high school students in the five domains (classroom environment, content and instruction, evaluation, teacher, and student) and the weakness of applied reality in high schools in Saudi Arabia. There were differences in the responses of the participants, which were in favor of private education, and PhD holders.

The participants demonstrated a very high agreement with the (legislative, developmental, technical, qualification, and educational) requirements and the obstacles. Moreover, the study categorized the artificial intelligence application skills in improving the learning outcomes among high school students into three levels: The empowerment skills of top leaders, target skills of teachers and students, and acquired skills of students. They were determined in the light of field results, international experiences, and previous studies.
