Obstacles Facing e-Learning via Virtual Classes in the Preparatory year for the Deaf at King Abdulaziz University in the View of Female Students

The purpose of this study was to uncover the challenges of e-learning faced by female students teaching Deaf and hard-of-hearing students in the preparatory year at KAU. The study sample consisted of 27 female students. The study used the descriptive-survey method. One survey was adopted to answer the following question: what are the obstacles of e-learning for deaf and poor hearing students at the university, and how possible to provide distance learning for them in the view of female students?
Results showed that key challenges are represented in the required financial aspects to develop the Black Board Platform to suit teaching the deaf and poor hearing students and meet their special needs. The study proved the existence of technological obstacles as regards the skills of the female students and their ability to use the Black Board Platform in carrying out assignments, exams and discussions at forums.
