THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE OF EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM STUDENTS AT KING SAUD UNIVERSITY ABOUT THE DIMENSIONS OF THE CONCEPT OF DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP VALUES

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the level of knowledge of the students of the early childhood program at king saud university about the concepts of digital citizenship. the study adopted the descriptive approach. the questionnaire was used as a tool for the study. the study sample reached (88) students, and the results of the study are the following.the study sample members see that they (always) have knowledge of the concepts of digital citizenship, where the dimension of protection came in (first rank), followed by (learning dimension), while (dimension of respect) came in last rank. the results also showed that female students always have knowledge of (the respect dimension), and the most prominent paragraphs in this dimension were: (take care of any undesirable behavior in the digital society), followed by (the dimension of learning), and the most prominent paragraphs in this dimension are: (beware of accepting invitations to communicate and digital contact with unknown people). also, knowledge of (the protection dimension), and one of the most prominent paragraphs that got (always) in this dimension is (i know the danger of technology to my physical health). the results of the study showed that there were no differences in their responses towards (learning, protection, the total degree of digital citizenship) according to the academic degree variable (bachelor, master). the results revealed that there were differences in their responses to the (respect) dimension, according to the academic degree variable, and it was found that the differences are in favor of the master's degree students.
