Parenting methods that enhance the value of control for children in the family

Abstract

The study aimed to find out the parental methods used by parents with their children in the family, to enhance the value of their control, and the researcher used the descriptive survey approach in her study, where the study tool (questionnaire) was applied to a simple random sample of parents of male and female students in the middle and secondary stages, in schools affiliated with the Department of Education of the city of Riyadh, and schools of the Department of Education of Al-Kharj Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the study reached a sample of (400) parents, The study found a number of results, the most important of which is that the members of the study sample of parents strongly agree on the application of educational methods that enhance the value of control among children during their social relations, as their average agreement with the statements of the axis was (4.26 out of 5.00); It was also found that the members of the research sample of parents strongly agree with the application of educational methods that enhance the value of control in children during their studies, as their average agreement with the statements of the axis (4.33 out of 5.00); And the application of educational methods that enhance the value of control among children during their use of social networking sites, where their average agreement with the statements of the axis (3.99 out of 5.00); It was also found that the members of the research sample of parents agree to apply educational methods that enhance the value of control among children during their use of electronic games, where their average agreement with the statements of the axis (4.21 out of 5.00);  There were no statistically significant differences between the average responses of the study sample of parents according to the variable of family income and the variable of the number of children.

The study recommended the need to communicate with the school administration to know the developments related to school organization and the participation of the school administration in that organization, and to educate parents about the need for their children to participate in the school activities assigned to them and help them implement them
