Evaluating the Curricula and Teaching Methodologies of the MA Program at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University from the Point of View of Male and Female MA Students

Abstract

The study aimed at evaluating the curricula and teaching methods MA program at Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University via identifying the view point of male and female MA students.

The study sample consisted of 135 students (79.41% of the study population). The study used the descriptive approach, and a questionnaire was used as the data collection tool.

The present study has come up with the following findings:

  1. Amongst the study axes, the axis of Teaching Methods Quality came first in order, while the axis of Instructional Content came second, both lie at the high level. Meanwhile, the axis of Objectives come third, and the Evaluation Styles axis came forth, both lie at the middle level.
  2. The evaluation of the study sample for the curricula and teaching methods MA program at Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University was at the middle level.
  3. There were statistically significant differences in the  program evaluation due to the Gander variable favoring male students.
  4. There were no statistically significant differences in the  program evaluation due to the variables of study type, BA specialization, nor study level.
