The Role of Academic Leaderships at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Promoting Volunteering
Abstract
The study aimed to know the role of academic leaders at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University on activating voluntary work, what makes voluntary work less effect and what are the suggestions that make academic leaders participate on activating voluntary work. The study used descriptive survey as a study tool, it included 114 members: colleges deans, vice deans and supported deans at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University. It came up with the following:
- Most of who participated on the study were not agree on their roles on activating voluntary work , the most prominent phrases: The college or dean activating some voluntary work. I ask faculty members to encourage students on voluntary work and I present a guidebook for voluntary work.
- Most of who participated on the study agree that there are drawbacks limit their voluntary work, these drawbacks are: Few programs on voluntary work, media are not focusing on voluntary work and no rules or plans for voluntary work.
- Most of academic leaders who participated on the study agree on what makes academic leaders affected on voluntary work.
- There are statistical significant differences on (0.01) because of different job level.
There are statistical significant differences on (0.01) because of different job experience. Those differences among study members whom their experience less than 5 years
