The Commitment Degree of Public Universities in Riyadh City of Ethical Behavior Standards in the Academic Accreditation and Quality Applications

The paper aims to identify the degree of moral behavior commitment standards in the quality and academic accreditation applications in state universities in the city of Riyadh.
This study specifically answers the following two questions:
- How far are state universities committed to moral behavior standards in the quality and academic accreditation applications in the city of Riyadh?
- Are there a statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.01) in the degree of commitment in Riyadh city state universities to ethical behavior standards according to the quality and accreditation due to the variables of (university, gender, and position).
To achieve the goal of the study, a questionnaire was designed and based on theoretical literature of the four components theory about the moral behavior according to Rest. The questionnaire was applied on the study population, which consisted of 180 of administrative and academic leaders at state universities in the city of Riyadh. The results of the study are as follows:
The degree of commitment in state universities to the ethical behavior was high. The means of the dimensions of moral behavior, each representing separate field of the study tools, were as follows: (4.08) for moral sensitivity, (4.01) moral motivation, (4.01) moral act, (3.70) moral judgment. On the other hand, the means of the total score for the four fields of the questionnaire was (3.94), which reflects the high degree of commitment to moral behavior in applying quality and academic accreditation.
There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) in the degree of state universities’ commitment to moral behavior in quality and accreditation applications due to the university variable where the differences inclined to Princess Noura Bent Abdul Rahman University.
