Technical Skills Required for E-Learning Environment and the Requirements of its Achievement from Faculty Members viewpoint at Al-Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University

Abstract

The aim of the study is to provide an overview of the technical skills required for E-Learning environment, and to identify the most important requirements for the development of technical skills for faculty members at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. Also, it aimed to investigate the differences between the means of the faculty members’ answers based on a number of variables (years of experience, specialization, gender, scientific degree). The study employs the descriptive method and is applied to a sample of faculty members. Results showed that faculty members responded with "Strongly Agree" on the statements relating to the technical skills required for e-learning environment. They selected “Agree " for the statements relating to the most important requirements for the development of technical skills for faculty members. Furthermore, results revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the demographic variables, gender, scientific degree, specialization, and years of experience.
