Abstract

THE STUDY AIMED TO REVEAL THE CORRELATION BETWEEN HEALTHY BEHAVIOR AND QUALITY OF LIFE AMONG SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN MARAT GOVERNORATE.   TO ACHIEVE THE STUDY'S OBJECTIVE,  THE DESCRIPTIVE CORRELATIONAL APPROACH WAS USED, AND TWO SCALES PREPARED BY THE RESEARCHER WERE USED: THE HEALTH BEHAVIOR SCALE, CONSISTING OF (54) STATEMENTS DISTRIBUTED OVER THREE DIMENSIONS: (CARE PHYSICAL HEALTH, MENTAL HEALTH CARE, SOCIAL HEALTH CARE, AND THE SECOND MEASURE IS QUALITY OF LIFE, CONSISTING OF (47) PHRASES DISTRIBUTED OVER FOUR DIMENSIONS: (HEALTHY QUALITY OF LIFE, THE QUALITY OF PSYCHOLOGICAL LIFE, THE QUALITY OF EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL LIFE, AND THE TWO SCALES WERE APPLIED TO (212) SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN MARAT GOVERNORATE, WHO WERE CHOSEN RANDOMLY.THE STUDY CONCLUDED THAT THERE IS A DIRECT CORRELATION BETWEEN (MEDIUM- STRONG) STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT BETWEEN STUDENTS' SCORES ON THE HEALTH BEHAVIOR SCALE AND ITS DIMENSIONS AND THE QUALITY OF LIFE SCALE AND ITS DIMENSIONS, AND THE EXISTENCE OF A DIRECT CORRELATION (WEAK) STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT. (BETWEEN THE STUDENTS’ SCORES ON THE HEALTH BEHAVIOR SCALE AND ITS DIMENSIONS, AND THERE IS A POSITIVE EFFECT OF THE HEALTH BEHAVIOR DIMENSIONS ON THE STUDENTS’ QUALITY OF LIFE, THERE ARE NO DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE STUDENTS ACCORDING TO THE VARIABLE OF GENDER, GRADE, WEIGHT, AND SPECIALIZATION IN HEALTHY BEHAVIOR, WHILE THERE ARE SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES ACCORDING TO THE LEVEL VARIABLE THE GENERAL HEALTH IN FAVOR OF THE HEALTH LEVEL IS EXCELLENT, AND THE SMOKING VARIABLE ON THE HEALTH BEHAVIOR SCALE. WHILE NO DIFFERENCES WITH SPECIALIZATION, GRADE, WEIGHT, OR SMOKING IN THE QUALITY-OF-LIFE SCALE, THERE ARE STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE MEAN SCORES OF STUDENTS ACCORDING TO THE GENDER VARIABLE, IN FAVOR OF MALES, AND ACCORDING TO THE GENERAL LEVEL OF HEALTH IN FAVOR OF THE EXCELLENT HEALTH LEVEL ON THE QUALITY-OF-LIFE SCALE.
