Evaluating the book of Teaching Arabic for foreigners "Arabic for the world" in light of good educational book standards

Abstract

The current research aimed at evaluating the second book of the series "Arabic for the World", which is to be given to the second level foreign learners at Arabic Linguistics Institute, King Saud University, in the light of a set modern standards for a good educational book. The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach and analyzed the book in the light of these criteria. The results of the research showed that the quality of the Arabic book for the world achieved a great deal in its objectives, images, drawings, and the technical output, while the quality of the book achieved a medium degree in its introduction, content, activities and methods of evaluation, and the research provided some recommendations in the light of these results.
