Abstract

Abstract: The study aimed to build a list of values contained in the document of the national framework for standards of general education curricula, and identify the availability of these values in the content of the English language textbooks (Super Goal) for the intermediate stage, and then provide a proposed concept to include these values in the content of the English language textbooks for the intermediate stage. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive survey method was used in the method of content analysis, and the study community consisted of all the content of the developed English language textbooks (Super Goal) for the intermediate stage, the number of three books for the three grades of the intermediate stage of the semester (first, second and third), which is taught in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the year 1445 AH, and the study sample consisted of the entire study community, and to collect the necessary data, the researcher prepared the study tools, which are: A list of the values contained in the document of the national framework of standards for general education curricula, a content analysis card. The most prominent results of the study are: that there is a weakness and insufficiency in including the values contained in the document of the national framework of standards for general education curricula in the content of the developed English language books (Super Goal) for the intermediate stage, as these values came in a disorganized and unbalanced form.
