A proposed Vision of Enhancing Academic Leaders' Trends towards Using Artificial Intelligence Applications in Administrative Work at University Institutions

The study aimed to build a proposed vision to enhance the use of artificial intelligence applications in administrative work by academic leaders at Al-Baha University, by revealing the trends of academic leaders at Al-Baha University towards the use of artificial intelligence applications in administrative work and revealing the challenges of using artificial intelligence applications in administrative work from the point of view of leaders. To achieve the objectives of the study, the mixed approach was relied upon by designing the sequential interpretive approach (quantitative and qualitative), where the questionnaire was used to measure trends, which consisted of (27) statements distributed over three dimensions (cognitive, behavioral and emotional) and (12) statements measuring challenges. They were distributed to the individuals of the entire study community (128), and the responses returned were (92). The interview was also used in the qualitative aspect of the study to interpret the results by conducting in-depth interviews with (6) of the study individuals. The results revealed a high degree of trends towards artificial intelligence applications to develop administrative work (M=4.14). It also showed that trends appeared in the cognitive component to a very high degree and the behavioral and emotional components to a high degree (M=4.26; M=4.08; M=4.07) respectively, while challenges appeared to a high degree (M=3.75). The results were interpreted, and a vision was reached. Proposed to enhance the trends of academic leadership to develop administrative work, and the study recommended adopting the proposed vision and working to overcome the challenges according to the proposed mechanisms.
