Abstract

The current study aimed at formulating a proposal for empowering leadership as an input to enhance organizational effectiveness, by revealing the degree of practice of the dimensions of empowering leadership from the point of view of faculty members at Umm Al-Qura University and measuring the level of achieving the dimensions of organizational effectiveness. As well as revealing the degree to which organizational leadership contributes to enhancing organizational effectiveness.

The study relied on the descriptive, correlational approach, and used the questionnaire as a tool to achieve the objectives of the study, and reached a set of results, including: The degree of practicing the dimensions of empowering leadership from the point of view of faculty members at Umm Al-Qura University was generally high, with an arithmetic average of (3.82), The degree of practicing the dimensions of organizational effectiveness from the point of view of faculty members at Umm Al-Qura University was moderate in general, with an arithmetic average of (3.32), There is a direct, statistically significant relationship at the level (0.01≥∝) between the dimensions of empowering leadership and the dimensions of organizational effectiveness.

The study recommended that the university's senior management adopt the proposed vision. It also recommended focusing on attracting a few experts and distinguished individuals in the field of training and development. Additionally, it emphasized the importance of motivating faculty members to participate in preparing the university's strategic plans. Training faculty members according to a pre-planned training needs assessment methodology was also suggested to achieve high levels of organizational effectiveness
