This study sought to standardize the Quality of Life Scale in both its child and adult iterations within the Saudi context by investigating its psychometric properties, with particular emphasis on its validity and reliability among a sampled demographic of children and adults in Saudi Arabia. Employing a descriptive research methodology, the sample consisted of ninety children and adolescents aged between 3 to 17 years, as well as seventy adults aged 18 years and older. The findings revealed a high degree of validity and reliability for both versions of the scale, demonstrated through internal consistency validity, construct validity, and reliability coefficients, which include Cronbach’s alpha, Guttman’s reliability, and split-half reliability. The study advocates for the utilization of the current version of the scale to evaluate the quality of life among individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. This assessment is intended to aid in the provision of educational and social services aimed at enhancing their quality of life. Furthermore, the study proposes the implementation of similar research endeavors to standardize the scale across other groups of individuals with disabilities.
