Abstract

This study aims to construct and implement a proposed e-solution in order to improve the teacher's performance utilizing cloud computing and social communication networks. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher has used a quasi-experimental methodology, with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The sample of the study consists of (68) government schools teachers who have been engaged in the teaching profession during the academic year (second semester). Thirty-six teachers have been randomly assigned to the control group, and (32) teachers have been randomly assigned to the experimental group. After reviewing the literature studies, the researcher has constructed an e-solution based on cloud computing services (Google Drive, Google Apps, Google Documents). In addition, social networks have been used (WhatsApp). The researcher has used the Ministry of Education Evaluation Form to measure the performance of teachers before and after the study in the two groups (experimental & control groups). After applying the e-solution on the experimental group, t-tests were used to compare differences.

The findings show a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group, which indicates the existence of a positive impact of the suggested e-solution on teacher's performance. The results have been discussed and compared with those of other similar studies. Finally, a set of recommendations have been made to build customized electronic educational solutions, and replicate the study using different samples, different designs, and different variables.
