Abstract

The present research aims to examine the impact of using learning-based writing activities in teaching Principles of Statistics (stat110) on achievement and statistical thinking among students in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. The research uses an experimental design, “Pretest-posttest Control Group”. The research tools included “achievement test in statistics” (ATS) and “statistical thinking test” (STT). The results indicated that there was a positive impact of using learning-based writing activities on achievement and algebraic thinking.
