Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the reality of the content of Hadith and Islamic Culture ‎textbook for the joint track of the curriculum system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ‎for the edition (1440/1441 AH - 2019/2020 AD) in the light of the ethics of electronic ‎communication. The study also aimed at presenting a suggested concept for developing ‎the textbook’s content in the light of these ethics. In order to achieve the research ‎objectives, the researchers used the descriptive analytical approach and the content ‎analysis card. The researchers have found (30) ethics for electronic communication that ‎should be included in the content of the book. The results revealed that the current ‎content deals with (16) ethics for electronic communication only, and by a percentage ‎of (53.3%) of the total number of ethics included in the list contained. In contrast, (14) ‎ethics that have not been addressed, at a percentage of (46.7 %). This percentage is a ‎clear indication of the gap in the textbook regarding reflecting the reality of students ‎and their needs and the problems of their community, especially since the content of the ‎textbook has addressed these ethics without any link to the reality of electronic ‎communication.
