Abstract

The study aimed to provide a proposed formula to activate the role of emerging Saudi universities in community service in the light of some international experiences by applying to Shaqra University. The researcher used the descriptive method, and the questionnaire that was applied to all members of the study community who worked in (Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education), and supervisors in (Community Service Units) in university colleges. The prominent results of the study indicated that the study community members agreed on obstacles that limit the university's role in community service by (78%). They also agreed on the proposals necessary to overcome these obstacles by (88.4%). The researcher presented experiences of six international universities in community service. The study provided a suggested formula to activate the role of emerging Saudi universities in community service in light of these experiences.
