Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the reality of the integrated roles in providing special education and related services to individuals with disabilities between the relevant sectors (the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development) from the perspective of parents. For the study, the researcher used the Qualitative Research method. The results of the study concluded that the level of integration of special education and related services provided to individuals with disabilities between the relevant sectors is low and very weak, as well as the lack of a common vision and integrated services in providing related and medical services in schools. Besides, the level of satisfaction with the integration of services provided to individuals with disabilities and their comprehensiveness among the relevant sectors is low and below expectations. The results of this study revealed the existence of many obstacles to the integration of services, with several proposals and recommendations addressed in this regard.
