Abstract

The aim of the current research is to find out the importance of the academic and organizational practices of the academic leaders at King Khalid University for enhancing intellectual security from their point of view and to identify the most important difficulties that prevent the application of these practices. Th descriptive approach was used along with a questionnaire as a data collection tool, including a set of academic and organizational practices, and the difficulties of academic and organizational practices of the academic leaders in enhancing intellectual security. The research sample consisted of (123) academic leaders. The results of the field study yielded a list of results, namely: the degree of importance of these practices lies in the higher level, the difficulties in applying the academic and organizational practices of academic leaders in enhancing the intellectual security of their students are in the higher level as well. In the light of theoretical analysis and the results of the field study, the researcher presented a set of recommendations; the most important of which are: awareness of the importance of intellectual security within courses and lectures, and allowing full opportunity for structured dialogue within classrooms
