A Proposal for the Development of E-Learning Competencies Necessary for Teaching Physics for Secondary School Teachers

Abstract

The present study aims to present a proposal to improve e-learning competencies necessary for teaching physics for secondary school female teachers. The study uses the analytical descriptive method in collecting data. The study population consists of (70) secondary school physics female teachers in public schools affiliated to the General Directorate of Education in Abha in the first semester of the academic year 1435\1436. A random sample of (26) female teachers is chosen. The study tools are the achievement test, theobservation checklist,and measurement of direction.

The results of study reveal that there are (110) necessary e- learning competencies for teaching  physics  for secondary school female teachers They also reveal the low level of physics female teachers in e- learning competencies (cognitive- skill- affective) which is not at the  required competency level rated at(75%). In light of these results, the study suggests a proposal for a training program for the development of e- learning competencies necessary for teaching physics
