This study aims to verify the conformity of the responses to the items of the Saudi-adapted form of Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (Form S) to the Rasch model. To achieve this purpose, the test, which consists of 50 items, is applied on 558 randomly selected students distributed across first, second, and third grade intermediate school studentsin Riyadh. Responses are analyzed using the one-parameter model, the Rasch model, which emerged from modern measurement theory. The results show that responses to 33 items conform to the assumptions of the Rasch model, whereas 17 do not. The test has a reliability coefficient of 0.89, and has alsointernal consistency reliability.
